Deal | Amazon Prime Day sale brings Rayneo Air 2 AR glasses price down by $80
Amazon Prime Day sale has brought the Rayneo Air 2 down to $299.99, and this makes the AR glasses drop to the same price as the early bird promotion that the company offered prior to launch.
Launched last year, the Rayneo Air 2 pack a pair of low-power Micro-OLED displays. These are Sony screens with a 1080p resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The glasses can offer a 201-inch screen at 6 meters away, which, combined with 108% sRGB color coverage, aims to deliver an immersive viewing experience.
The AR glasses also come with a better audio system than the predecessor. There's a dedicated Whisper Mode, which uses phase cancellation tech to lower sound leakage and let you enjoy content without disturbing others around you. The design is geared towards comfort too.
Rayneo says that the Air 2 glasses are made of skin-friendly materials, promising a comfortable wearing experience even during prolonged use. Plus, the nine sets of adjustable temple and nose pad positions allow you to customize the fit according to your face shape.
Other than that, the Rayneo Air 2 are compatible with a wide range of devices, including tablets, smartphones, Windows and Mac computers, and gaming handhelds. While all these seem great for the $299.99 price tag, note that the built-in speakers can sound muffled at higher volumes. Also, the lenses don't have a customizable electrochromic dimming feature, which competitors like the XREAL Air 2 Pro have.
