Deal | Google Pixel 7a gets even more affordable with a massive $270 discount
The Google Pixel 7a is enjoying a generous discount on Best Buy, dropping to $229. That's a hefty $270 discount compared to what the Android phone usually sells for, and this is a better price than what Amazon is offering as part of Prime Day deals.
While Google has already released the Pixel 8a, the predecessor still has what it takes to handle all the day-to-day apps. Of course, the Tensor G2 isn't the most powerful gaming SoC on the market. However, in our tests, we found that it is capable enough for casual games.
We also liked the display of the Google Pixel 7a. It's a 6.1-inch OLED screen with support for HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG standards. The 90 Hz refresh rate of the panel is a downside, given that 120 Hz has been a standard for modern mid-range phones. But for $229, you really can't complain much.
However, the main highlight of the Pixel 7a is the camera performance. It sports a 64 MP main camera on the back, which is paired with a 13 MP ultrawide sensor. Even though it's a last-gen smartphone, it still holds a 4th position in DxOMark's high-end ranking. In our review, we also found it to be a solid performer.
The battery life is another good aspect of the Pixel 7a. But yes, there are other mid-range options out there with a larger battery than this Google smartphone, such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro. Other highlights of this affordable Android phone include an IP67 certification, wireless charging, guaranteed software updates till May 2028, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port.
