Amazon Help Me Decide AI lands to reduce time wasted on product research when shopping

Amazon has unveiled its Help Me Decide AI as part of its Amazon Shopping app for smartphones to help simplify product selection by reducing time wasted researching the most appropriate products.

When an Amazon shopper wants to know which product is best in a category for their needs, the AI takes into account user preferences and past purchases along with product reviews by other customers and product details to come up with its personalized recommendations.

When browsing products, users can tap the “Help Me Decide” button near the top of a product listing to activate the AI recommendation service. The AI will display its recommendation, with options for a cheaper and a more expensive product. This greatly reduces the need to research the dozens, if not hundreds, of product options available on Amazon.

The Amazon Help Me Decide AI is now available through the Amazon Shopping app for Android and Apple smartphones. The company says the AI feature is also available when visiting Amazon.com via a mobile web browser.
