Amazon's latest and greatest Fire OS-based tablet has hit its lowest price point as the e-commerce giant currently grants its biggest discount yet on the baseline Fire Max 11 variant with 64GB of storage and lockscreen ads.

The Seattle-based online retailer Amazon has released its brand-new and vastly improved Fire Max 11 tablet back in May of this year, and as usual, it took quite a while until the relatively cheap 11-inch slate received its first notable discounts. However, shoppers who have stayed patient and successfully resisted the first two sales can now grab the Amazon Fire tablet for its lowest price thus far.

More specifically, Amazon has introduced steep discounts for every single model variant of the Fire Max 11 series of tablets, but the most attractive offer arguably comes for the cheapest base model with 64GB of mass storage and lockscreen ads. This particular version of the new Amazon Fire tablet is marked down by a notable 35 percent or US$80 in comparison to the official list price of US$230, which results in a wallet-friendly sale price of US$150. Camelcamelcamel's price tracker suggests that this is indeed the FireOS device's most affordable price point thus far.

Please refer to our comprehensive review for more detailed impressions on the Fire Max 11. Most obviously, the Amazon tablet received an all-new design that makes it look much more modern compared to its predecessor. We have also praised the slate's bright 2K IPS display and long battery life, while the MediaTek MT8188J mid-range processor is quick enough to play fairly demanding games. The biggest drawback of the Amazon Fire Max 11 is arguably the slow eMMC flash storage and missing Play Store. But since tech-savvy users can easily sideload Google's all-important app marketplace onto this cheap tablet, this deal is a great choice for prospective buyers with no more than US$150 to spend.
