A well-reviewed Alienware QD-OLED gaming monitor, the AW3423DWF, is on sale. This 34-inch curved QHD monitor was first released in late 2022, and while newer alternatives are available, for the currently discounted price, it offers pretty decent specs.
To be precise, the Alienware AW3423DWF is currently down to $499.99 from the regular $699.99, which happens to be the new record-low price on Amazon. The same discounted price tag is also available on the Dell official store, and there, it's marked as a clearance deal.
Regardless, as the in-depth review from Rtings mentions, it's an "amazing" gaming monitor that can offer 'outstanding picture quality.' Dell highlights the panel's factory color calibration, which is said to deliver 'superior' color performance. The Quantum Dot OLED panel also has a 1,000-nit peak brightness rating. Per Rtings' tests, the display offers consistent brightness across different SDR scenes, but it can't get bright enough to reduce glare when placed in a well-lit room.
Another highlight of the 165 Hz QD-OLED panel is that it supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and is rated for a GtG response time of 0.03 ms, promising lag-free gameplay. However, as Rtings found during testing, there's a noticeable amount of flicker when VRR is turned on, which can lead to an uncomfortable viewing experience for some.
Besides these, the other aspects of the curved QD-OLED make it a well-rounded pick for both casual and competitive gaming. There's a rich port selection as well, including four USB and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports. You can learn more about the Alienware AW3423DWF from the video below.
