Alleged amazing PlayStation 5 event on September 9 to include full hardware and UI reveal, console launch date, prices, and new PS5 games information
Another PS5 rumor has cropped up on the most spurious of sources: 4chan. However, after doing the rounds on various social media avenues, some have started to wonder whether some of the information included in the supposed claim could actually be true. For instance, the post claims a PlayStation 5 event will take place on September 9, which is a date that has already been picked up by numerous console watchers as the likely time for Sony to take the covers off the rest of its next-gen console’s still hidden details.
Additionally, the post also reckons Sony will show off every tiny part of the PS5 hardware at this event, which would make sense, especially if the launch date, pre-order date, and prices are going to be announced at the same event: Gamers will want to see what they are laying their hard-earned money down on. Rear view at last? Seems like it could be on the cards. Along with that, it appears the PS5 UI will make a star turn and any other remaining hidden features could finally be revealed to an adoring audience.
If that wasn’t enough to blow the mind of the average PS5 fan, then there will also be a feast of details about games to be consumed. More gameplay reveals are on the cards, allegedly, for Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank, Gran Turismo 7, Demon’s Souls, Godfall, and Returnal while Horizon Forbidden West wows us all in another new trailer. Believably, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War details will be shared on the same day.
SIE Japan Studio will supposedly give out some details about a “big horror game”, which many fans will be hoping is Silent Hill related, and there will be further information put forward about both first-party and third-party titles headed toward the PlayStation 5. Furthermore, there will be a revamp for PlayStation Now with the service seemingly spreading its wings over more territories in the future. It’s an extraordinary wishlist, but there could be a kernel of truth in there.
