Acer confirms price hike for multiple products from February 20

The tech industry is currently dealing with a major memory crisis, and over the past few months, prices for RAM, SSDs, and GPUs have climbed sharply due to rising demand and supply constraints. Various brands have already increased the prices of their products, and Acer appears to be the next one.
In a post shared by Acer on its Predator Gaming JPN X account, the company has confirmed that it will be raising prices of its PC products starting February 20, 2026. Customers still have a short window to buy at current prices, as Acer says purchases made before February 19 will not be affected.
In the post, Acer directly points to rising memory and SSD costs as the main reason behind the decision. The company says it will revise pricing on products sold through its official online store, while also noting that some items will remain unaffected by the change.
At the moment, it’s not fully clear whether this price increase will apply globally or if it’s limited to Japan. Since the announcement came from Acer’s Japanese account, there’s a chance the adjustment is region-specific. However, given how widespread the memory shortage is, similar price changes in other markets wouldn’t be surprising.
We also don’t know exactly which products will be affected, but it’s safe to expect price hikes on anything that includes RAM or storage, such as laptops, tablets, and pre-built gaming PCs. Peripherals will likely be spared, as they aren’t tied to memory or storage components.
