The Acer Predator Triton 14 AI was already unveiled at Computex back in May, but the gaming notebook has just now become available in Germany and other European markets. Specifically, the Predator Triton 14 AI can now be ordered at Acer’s official online store for €2,999, as there is just a single configuration available right now.
This model variants sports the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V with four performance cores, four efficiency cores and boost clock speeds of up to 5.1GHz. This Lunar Lake processor is paired with 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. Considering the price, it’s a shame that Acer did not opt for the quicker GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop graphics card, which would’ve featured 12GB instead of 8GB GDDR7 VRAM.
Nevertheless, with a TGP of 90 watts plus 20 watts of Dynamic Boost, the power consumption is only 10 watts below the official limit for the RTX 5070. Therefore, performance should be sufficient to smoothly render most current games at 1080p resolution with medium to high settings. Acer further offers a 14.5-inch OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The 76Wh battery is expected to last up to seven hours.
The arguably most distinctive feature of the Acer Predator Triton 14 AI is the extremely sleek chassis with just 0.67 inches of thickness and a weight of 3.53 lbs, which makes it one of the most compact gaming laptops on the market today. For comparison, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and the Razer Blade 14 are both a tiny bit thinner and weigh about the same. However, the Predator Triton 14 AI tries to stand out from the competition with features like a haptic trackpad with stylus support. More details can be found on the official website.
