Reviews for the Acer ConceptD 7

Other than that, the ConceptD 7 (CN715-71) was on point and would clearly be a must-have in terms of usability. As soon as we get the results from our Display Lab, we are going to provide you with information about one of the most interesting feature of the laptop – its 4K display. By the way, given the artistic nature of the laptop, it would have been a shame to have mediocre battery life. Thankfully, it is not – you can get up to 11 hours of web browsing and 7 hours and 40 minutes of video playback – not bad given the 4K screen and the monster hardware.

It has the ability to make designing and editing in 2D or 3D smoother with its impressive specifications of powerful hardware. With its timeless design, the ConceptD 7 looks at home in any workplace, while the device is also thin enough to accompany you wherever you need to go. The metal chassis and Nvidia GeForce Max-Q design make this high-performing laptop pleasant to the touch. Besides that, users can type comfortably in any environment thanks to strong lighting or weak lighting with the backlit keyboard. The warm amber backlighting resembles a soft radiance reminiscent of nature and breaking dawn in the morning. Besides that, users can work in peace with the custom-engineered cooling of a 4th Gen Aeroblade 3D fan, which runs at under 40 dB, which is equivalent to a library room. The design is optimized for noise reduction even when the CPU is running at full capacity, meaning the laptop doesn’t disturb others even in the quietest spaces.
Color accuracy is critical for design work and the laptop comes with a brilliant range of color technologies. The 4K UHD display features professional precision with its 100 % Adobe RGB gamut where colors will be brighter and more accurate due to extending the color range of cyan-green hues, PANTONE validated color fidelity and color accuracy of DeltaE <2 to reproduce true-to-life color accuracy. Users can see every detail with 4K UHD resolution, and get more space to work on thanks to the narrow bezels. Whether users are designing in 3D or 2D, they will appreciate the ConceptD 7’s speed and multi-tasking prowess. The chassis houses a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q design, up to 32 GB of DDR4, and up to 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSDs in Raid 0. With these specifications, users can get faster real-time preview while video editing, or smoothly export and render up to 6K video files and simple 3D designs. For connectivity, users can hook up all their peripherals and accomplish more with a full range of ports including three USB 3.1, a HDMI 2.0 and a Mini DP 1.4. They can charge their peripherals offline with one of the USB 3.1 ports. They can also get additional device security thanks to the Kensington security slot. In conclusion, the Acer ConceptD 7 15" RTX 2080 is a laptop designed for working professionals, such as engineers, architects, videographers, cinematographers, 3D animators, AI professionals and many more. It can deliver great performance with its high-end hardware specifications.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q: High-End laptop graphics card based on the TU104 chip with 2,944 shaders and 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Runs at reduced clock speeds compared to a laptop RTX 2080 to achieve a much lower power consumption.
These graphics cards are able to play the latest and most demanding games in high resolutions and full detail settings with enabled Anti-Aliasing.
Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
i7-9750H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates six processor cores clocked at 2.6 - 4.5 GHz (4 GHz with 6 cores) that support HyperThreading. Manufactured in an improved 14nm process (14nm++). » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
