Accell unveils docking station for Surface tablets

Teaser
A new docking station from Accell has been announced for the Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3 tablets.

Accell makes a lot of accessories and ports for different types of laptops and mobile devices. Recently, the company unveiled the UltraAV Mini DisplayPort Y-Cable Docking Station to be used with the Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3 tablets. The main goal of the docking station is to add more ports and versatility to the handhelds, and it will cost $149.99.

By connecting the docking station through USB, users will have access to two Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output ports, three USB 3.0 ports, and a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port as well. The docking station itself can support two DisplayPort monitors with resolutions of up to 2560x1600 at 60Hz. Alternatively, a single monitor with 3840x2160 at 60Hz is supported as well. Both of the DisplayPort outputs support HDMI, DVI, and VGA monitors.

The Surface Pro tablets have a lot of different accessories available, but not many are quite as versatile and as feature-rich as the UltraAV Docking Station at this price level. This accessory would be perfect for a multi-display setup driven by a Surface Pro tablet. For more information about this docking station and other accessories, visit Accell's website.
