The AYN Thor has appeared in new hands-on videos demonstrating its emulation capabilities with games that support dual-screen devices. The manufacturer has also released more live photos of the handheld ahead of its release next month.

The AYN Thor is supposed to start shipping in mid-October, if all goes according to plan. While customers await the arrival of their orders, AYN has been sharing live photos and demo videos of the handheld. A week ago, it released a video highlighting the custom software designed for the dual-screen gaming handheld. It also posted some live photos of one of the four color options. It has now followed them with two new demo videos and more live photos that show all of the available colors.

In one of the new demo videos, the AYN Thor is shown running a couple of Nintendo 3DS games, such as Mario Golf World Tour, Rayman Origins, and Super Mario 3D Land. All three games take advantage of both screens on the AYN Thor, displaying either a map, a progress bar, or instructions. The demo video also shows that users can use touch input for games that support it, and switch between the primary screen and the secondary screen.

The other video is also a demonstration of multiple Nintendo 3DS and DS games, but this time around, instead of the black variant of the AYN Thor as seen in the video above, it's the Clear Purple version used for the demonstration.

On the other hand, the live photos show all four colors. The photos also give us a better look at the purple version, which has a translucent shell that shows the internal components of the handheld.

The AYN Thor is available to pre-order on the AYN website, starting at $249 for the Lite version, which has a Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It goes up to $299 for the Base model, which has the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but the same RAM and storage as the Lite version, albeit LPDDR5x and UFS 4.0.

The Pro and Max models have the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but while the former has 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage and costs $349, the Max has 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage and is priced at $429. AYN is also selling accessories for the handheld, which include a $12 carrying case, a $15 TPU grip case, a $15 TPU transparent shell, a $10 pack of two screen protectors, a $5 soft pouch, and a lanyard that's $3. Buyers can purchase these items separately or save $10 by buying the pack of accessories for $50 instead.
