AOC launches new gaming monitor with 425Hz QD-Mini LED display

AOC has introduced a new gaming monitor in China, the AGP277QKM. It has a 27-inch QD-Mini LED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels and a 425Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for both competitive games and media consumption.
The fast refresh rate panel is backed by Adaptive-Sync, and there's support for AMD FreeSync as well. With a rated response time of 0.5ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT, it's said to deliver the competitive edge required for fast-paced games.
Another notable highlight of the gaming monitor is that it has 1,152 backlight zones, and there are 4-level dimming modes. These are said to ensure deeper blacks and brighter whites, and thanks to VESA DisplayHDR1000 certification and the 1,200 nits peak brightness rating, the panel should offer an enhanced HDR content viewing experience.
Per AOC, the Agon Pro AGP277QKM has 100% sRGB color coverage based on CIE 1931 and 98% DCI-P3 coverage based on CIE 1976. This means that the monitor can be a decent fit for creative professionals as well.
Port-wise, the monitor has the following:
- 2x HDMI 2.1 (6-feet Aker cable curr. $8.99 on Amazon)
- 1x DisplayPort 2.1
- 1x USB upstream
- 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
Other highlights include a sleek design, PIP and PBP modes, flicker-free technology, and customizable shortcut keys. In China, the AOC Agon Pro AGP277QKM has a launch price of CNY 3,254, about $486, and it will likely be launched in the global market soon.
