AMD's Radeon Pro Twitter account has revealed the release date of a new Radeon Pro workstation GPU. The card is set to be announced on January 19, 2022. Unfortunately, we don't know the exact specifications of the GPU except that it has a Navi 24 chip inside.
In a short video posted on Twitter, AMD has teased the arrival of a new Radeon Pro GPU. The video depicts a crown with a date of January 19, 2022. Neither the video nor the Tweet gives any other information. So, we don’t exactly know what card AMD will announce on January 19. Thankfully, VideoCardz has some more information for us.
According to VideoCardz, AMD will be announcing the Radeon Pro W6400. The Radeon Pro W6400 will be a budget card and will be based on the Navi 24 GPU. Navi 24 is the least powerful of the RDNA2 family and is featured in products like the AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT. In other words, the Radeon Pro W6400 will be a step up for people who want something more powerful than integrated GPUs but not much else.
AMD Radeon Pro GPUs are workstation cards meant for photo processing, video editing, and CAD work, among other things. So, don’t expect the Radeon Pro W6400 to be a good gaming card.
