AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Cinebench R23 scores surface online
So far, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has delivered impressive performance in Geekbench. If GPD's testing is accurate, it trades blows with the Ryzen 9 7950X in Cinebench 2024. Now, we get to see how the Strix Point SKU fares in Cinebench R23. It scores 2,010 in the single-core test and 23,302 in multi-core (11.6 core ratio).
According to our benchmark database, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 sits between the Ryzen 9 7945HX (1,938) and Intel Core i9-13900HX (2,055) in single-core performance. It handily outperforms the Meteor Lake-based Core Ultra 9 185H (1,813/18,338) and Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 (1,321/9,927).
There's no telling how much power the Strix Point silicon used during the test as its cTDP ranges between 15 and 54 Watts. Given the near-identical performance with two other 55 Watt parts, assumptions of a similar power draw would not be unreasonable.
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370's multi-core score could do with some improvement because 23,302 is lower than the 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX (24,595). This will, of course, get better with subsequent BIOS/firmware updates once Strix Point laptops hit shelves on July 28. With Lunar Lake not scheduled to surface anytime soon and the Snapdragon X Elite needing more time in the oven, AMD has a good few weeks to establish its position on top of benchmark charts.
