Samsung recently filed trademarks for the Galaxy Buds X in the UK, India, and the EU. These new, compact, bean-shaped earphones are the likely TWS successors to its Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds+ totally wireless earphones.
The trademark document only mentions the purported earphones' name-the Galaxy Buds X. However, the timing of the trademark filing is interesting because it comes just one month after leaked renders for a bean-shaped Galaxy Buds successor turned up on Winfuture.
While we can't say for sure, this is a strong indication that the renders show off the Galaxy Buds X's design. The small form factor-the Galaxy Buds X appear to be just 2.8 cm long-is designed to allow individual buds to nestle snug and secure within the ear canal.
The renders, unfortunately, indicate that the Galaxy Buds X won't feature silicone tips like the AirPods Pro, meaning limited passive noise cancellation. The trademark filing and leaked renders aren't much to go on, but we expect Samsung to make an announcement about the Galaxy Buds X soon and we will keep you posted.
