Lenovo has discounted two of its most powerful 16-inch laptops. Both the ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 and ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 are now more than 30 percent cheaper compared to their official list price.

16 inches are probably not the most popular laptop size for many ThinkPad enthusiasts, but users who are looking for a well-performing desktop replacement that doesn't have to be carried around on a regular basis, the bigger models in the Lenovo ThinkPad P-series are arguably worth considering.

For example, shoppers who are looking for a reliable work machine with a dedicated graphics card should check out Lenovo's current offer for the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6, whose price has been dropped to $1,999 as part of an ongoing clearance sale. This price applies to a high-end configuration with the Intel Core i7-13800H, 64GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Additionally, this model variant features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with 12GB VRAM but also a low TGP of 80 watts. Meanwhile, the 4K OLED touchscreen offers 400 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 colors and Dolby Vision support. Although this panel only runs at 60Hz, it should be well suited for all multimedia workloads. For more info on this laptop, please check out our in-depth review of the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 6.

ThinkPad P16s with 4K OLED and Ryzen AI 7 Pro also on sale

ThinkPad fans who don't need a dedicated GPU but are still looking for a capable 16-inch laptop are probably better off with the considerably cheaper Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 4. This machine is now on sale for $1,359 instead of $2,379 thanks to a sizable 42% price cut. Use the coupon code "BUYMORELENOVO" to maximize your savings at Lenovo's official online store.

The ThinkPad P16s is also equipped with a 4K OLED display with the same 60Hz, full DCI-P3 coverage and 400 nits. That said, this notebook is powered by the newer but not necessarily quicker AMD Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350, which is paired with 32GB RAM that can be upgraded later on. A 1TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro are included as well. Since this Lenovo laptop is over $600 cheaper than the beefier ThinkPad P1, bargain hunters who can make do with less CPU and GPU power might want to grab the ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 AMD.
