Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might be a 2019 release, but it stands out among other single-player action games for its gritty visuals and intricate stealth-based combat mechanics that put a unique twist on the usual FromSoftware format. In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, you follow the story of a disgraced warrior as he fights for revenge, honour, and redemption in a twisted fantasy version of feudal Japan.
During Sekiro's dark adventure, players encounter all manner of warped, deadly enemies that must be eliminated in order to progress. Sekiro's combat is difficult and visceral, but it's also regarded as more forgiving than what we've come to expect from FromSoftware games.

3. Sea of Thieves 2023 Edition - 50% off
As far as action-adventure games go, Sea of Thieves is structured quite differently, putting players in the shoes of a pirate in an open world with the goal of amassing power, plunder, and crafting your own journey across the open seas. Sea of Thieves is largely a multiplayer game, though, with a strong focus on online PvP and co-op gameplay.
The game is also constantly growing, with new content and expansions dropping frequently to keep things fresh. The recent A Pirate's Life expansion even adds a story centring around characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Sea of Thieves doesn't have the nail-biting intensity of Sekiro, or the intricate monster design of Monster Hunter Rise, but it offers a solid, fun sea-faring sandbox world to explore and enjoy.
