OPPO has announced that the Reno line will get a second generation soon. It will be called the Reno2, and will be released on August 28, 2019 in India. It is linked to 20x hybrid zoom, whereas the original Renos were associated with 10x zoom. It is also clear from an official promo that the OEM will propagate its innovative wedge-shaped pop-up module in the new Renos.
On that note, this teaser also includes the word "series", indicating that the Reno2 will come in more than 1 variant. It also shows what is most likely the rear panel of the phone, which features no less than 4 circular sensors. This hints at quad cameras for the Reno2 phones, although some could have alternative functions. However, the rumor mill has put it and a 48MP lens in close conjunction.
To date, nothing else is known for sure about the Reno2 series. However, some leaks suggest that these devices will come with a FHD+ 6.43-inch AMOLED display. Then again, it can't be said for sure whether these upcoming phones will be graced with OPPO's new Waterfall screen technology.
