Asus ROG Phone 7 details leak ahead of April 13 launch
Asus is set to release its smartphones for the year in the coming months. Details of the Zenfone 10 appeared on the grapevine recently, but it appears Asus will debut its gaming-focused ROG Phone 7 first, with information on that device now surfacing in the wild.
According to Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, the ROG Phone 7 is set to arrive with a 6.78-inch 165 Hz AMOLED. Unfortunately, however, the panel itself appears to be Samsung's two-year-old E4 screen—also used on the OnePlus 11. Under the hood of the ROG Phone 7 will, of course, be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, joined by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
Camera-wise, the ROG Phone 7 is said to sport a 50 MP main camera, aided by a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5 MP macro camera likely. A 32 MP is tipped as the selfie shooter. Other touted specifications include a 6000 mAh battery, 65 W charging, IP54 ingress rating, and a weight of under 240g. In any case, the ROG Phone 7 has been officially confirmed to debut on April 13, so fans of the series won't have to wait for much longer.
