iQOO has confirmed that its next Android smartphone will launch as the Z9 Turbo Plus (or Turbo+). It is projected to debut with what might be the most powerful MediaTek chipset the brand has used to date. The new flagship looks like its non-Plus sibling, although the 2 devices are backed to differ in other ways.

OnePlus' sister brand iQOO has a 2023-4 product cycle that might be nearly over; nevertheless, the brand has declared that it is not done with its Z9 series just yet. Its final, and possibly highest-end, Turbo+ variant has just been announced as predicted.

The smartphone vying for eyeballs at a very propitious juncture for the Chinese mobile device scene has been revealed to have the same flagship-style chassis as the pre-existing Z9 Turbo. However, it is still tipped to launch with the performance-focused Dimensity 9300+ rather than the efficiency-conscious Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

The Z9 Turbo+ is said to be identical to the Turbo otherwise - except that it might have a battery of even more than 6,000mAh in rated capacity. iQOO has confirmed none of this so far, however, although it does tout the new device as a "super powerful, special upgrade".

The putative 144Hz AMOLED display smartphone cannot be bought outright quite yet, although potential buyers can pay a 0.1 yuan (~$0.01) deposit for a chance to get a mystery box containing what might be a new iQOO speaker along with their reserved Z9 Turbo+.
