Xiaomi's cheap and cheerful Redmi Band fitness tracker appears in series of unboxed and hands-on images
If you ever considered buying a fitness tracker but found the price a little steep, then keep your fingers crossed that Xiaomi eventually brings the upcoming Redmi Band to your regional market. We reported on the details of the affordable device recently, and now it has turned up in a whole bunch of real-life images.
Xiaomishka published a few photos (see below) of the unboxed Redmi Band that show just how small and compact the fitness tracker is. The wearable has a rectangular color LCD on the front, and it is possible to see various sensors on the rear. 24-hour heart-rate tracking is included and there’s also a sleep rate monitor.
The other set of live images is more hands-on, with the Redmi Band’s box included in the picture series. It’s easy to see the Xiaomi fitness tracker is a budget device, especially in the photo that shows the wearable’s straps separate from the main unit. But for 99 yuan (US$14), or 95 yuan (US$13) for those lucky enough to get it at that lower price, you shouldn’t expect too much in regard to build quality and materials.
The Redmi Band from Xiaomi will be launched on April 9.
