The XRing O1 is Xiaomi's fresh new equivalent of the Apple A18 platform that is now officially slated to debut in the 15S Pro smartphone as well as the Pad 7 Ultra.
Qualcomm has just swooped in to affirm that the same will not be true of the OEM's upcoming next-gen Android flagships.
The company has asserted that the successors to the 15 and 15 Pro will be among the first devices to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun chiming in to confirm that his OEM will indeed be extending its 15-year partnership with the chip-maker.
Qualcomm also strongly indicated that the next flagship Xiaomi Watch will reprise Snapdragon W5+ silicon on its launch, while the successors to the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon S7-series Sound Platform.
It is also now all the more possible that the upcoming Xiaomi YU7 will be a Snapdragon Cockpit Platform-powered electric vehicle, possibly with a Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF chip, just like the SU7.
