The Redmi Pad 2 has been the subject of substantial leaks in the last few days. To recap, various retailers began listing Xiaomi's new tablet across the Eurozone. Incidentally, these listings remain active at the time of publication of this article. Then, review videos began being posted online ahead of the device's official release.
Now, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Pad 2 is only a few days away from a full launch. In the meantime, the company has already revealed what the tablet looks like in a series of teaser images. On top of that, it has confirmed that the Redmi Pad has an 11-inch display, which will make it smaller than the existing Redmi Pad Pro (curr. $252.50 on Amazon). As the images below show, the mid-sized display will output at 2.5K with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
Also, Xiaomi has complemented this panel with quad Dolby Atmos-certified speakers to create what it describes as a 'binge buddy'. So far, the company has only hinted that the Redmi Pad 2 offers 4G connectivity too. Based on prior leaks, the 11-inch tablet features a 4G-capable modem thanks to its MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, which will be available with up to 8 GB of RAM. The Redmi Pad 2 4G will receive a full release on June 5.
