Xiaomi appears to be preparing to launch two new tablets following the introduction of the Redmi K Pad earlier this summer. For context, Xiaomi has not announced international availability for its recent 8.8-inch tablet. However, the company is expected to rebrand the Redmi K Pad as the Xiaomi Pad Mini for global audiences.
While we await official confirmation on the existence of the Pad Mini, two new tablets bearing the model numbers 25091RP04C and 25097RP43C have been certified for sale by the 3C in China. Based on the two model numbers, it seems that Xiaomi intends to release both sometime next month.
The same was true last year with the Pad 7 Pro though, which carries the model number 24091RPADC (curr. $649 on Amazon). Conversely, Xiaomi assigned the model number 2410CRP4CC to the regular Pad 7. On the one hand, the timing of these new tablets' arrival indicates that they could be successors to the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro. On the other hand, their reported charging wattages suggest that they are the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro too.
As the embedded images show, the 25091RP04C achieved 67 W wired charging when tested with Xiaomi's MDY-15-EQ power adapter to match the Pad 7 Pro. Likewise, the 25097RP43C mirrors the Pad 7's support for 45 W wired charging using the MDY-17-EE. The pair also appear to be on track to receive global releases, just as the Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro did earlier this year. Currently, Xiaomi is believed to have scheduled the Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro for launch alongside its Xiaomi 16 flagships, which have been tipped to arrive during the final week of September in China.
