Xiaomi Book Pro 16 2022 revealed with 4K OLED touchscreen display, 70 Wh battery and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU

Xiaomi has presented the Book Pro 16 2022, the bigger sibling to the Book Pro 14 2022 that the company also announced today. While the pair are from the same product family, a few differences exist between them, not least their prices. Both feature OLED displays and Intel Alder Lake-P series processors, though.

On the one hand, Xiaomi equips the Book Pro 16 2022 with a 4K OLED display, compared to the 2.8K one in the Book Pro 14 2022. According to Xiaomi, the Book Pro 14 2022's display operates at 3,840 x 2,400 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio with a 283 PPI, a 60 Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Also, the display peaks at 600 nits and has a 90.68% screen-to-body ratio.

Additionally, Xiaomi equips the Book Pro 16 2022 with the same Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P as the Book Pro 14 2022. For some reason, there is no optional GeForce MX550 with the Book Pro 16 2022, although a GeForce RTX 2050 is available with the Core i7-1260P. Incidentally, the Book Pro 16 2022 matches its smaller sibling with 16 GB of LPDDR5-5200 RAM and 512 GB of PCIe 4.0 storage.

On the other hand, the Book Pro 16 2022 has a larger battery than the Book Pro 14 2022, albeit one that also supports up to 100 W fast charging. For reference, the former features a 70 Wh battery, 14 Wh larger than the Book Pro 14 2022's battery. Unsurprisingly, the Book Pro 16 2022 is larger and heavier than the 14-inch model, but it features the same three USB Type-C ports, including one Thunderbolt 4 port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Currently only orderable in China, the Book Pro 16 2022 retails for the following prices; a global launch is unknown at this stage:
