Xiaomi 13 Pro: Leaked design reveals similarities with Xiaomi 12 Pro and a sprinkling of the Mi 11 Ultra
Last month, two sets of hands-on photos leaked online of what was to claimed to be the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. Although none of the photos were verified as prototypes or retail units, @OnLeaks' latest round of CAD-based renders share striking resemblances with these earlier leaks. Incidentally, OnLeaks' renders show that previous leaks had the pair mixed up. Unsurprisingly, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has the larger camera housing of the pair, even though it has three lenses like the regular Xiaomi 13.
According to @OnLeaks, the Xiaomi 13 Pro measures approximately 163.0 x 74.6 x 8.8 mm. However, the device's depth extends to 11.8 mm when factoring its sizeable camera housing. Based on these dimensions, the camera housing is 3 mm thick and roughly 40 mm wide. In short, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is shorter than its predecessor while also being just as wide and 0.6 mm thicker. With that being said, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a small footprint than the Xiaomi 12T Pro.
Additionally, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a curved display like its predecessor, unlike the Xiaomi 13. Seemingly, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a larger camera housing than the iPhone 14 Pro too, which is huge in its own right. Surprisingly, Xiaomi has returned to the camera design of the Mi 11 Ultra, albeit without its secondary display. As with the Xiaomi 13, the Xiaomi 13 Pro is expected to launch in China before reaching other markets. Currently, the Xiaomi 13 series is rumoured to arrive later this month in Xiaomi's home market.
