The post, shared by Reddit user u/ByrdofMemes, claims the Xbox app briefly displayed the collection along with the release date, although no official announcement has been made by Warner Bros. Games or NetherRealm Studios. A screenshot was later provided via Imgur to support the claim, but it’s unclear whether the listing was publicly visible to all users or surfaced as part of backend metadata.
According to several Reddit users, the collection appears to focus on arcade-era titles, with no mention of 3D-era games or entries like Mortal Kombat 9. User u/uncreativemind2099 noted, “The description also confirms this is an arcade-era-only collection, no 3D games.” Meanwhile, u/LadyValtiel said, “I'll be so sad if the 3D era and MK9 aren't included in it.” Others speculated that classic titles like Mortal Kombat Trilogy or Ultimate MK3 could be part of the bundle, with u/LegacyofaMarshall commenting, “I hope it has Trilogy.” However, the exact game lineup remains unconfirmed.
