The Moto G86 Power, with its 6,720mAh battery capacity, was previously the Motorola smartphone with the largest battery. However, that changed earlier this month when Motorola announced the Moto G06 Power, which has a 7,000mAh battery. Now, China's TENAA has revealed that another Motorola smartphone is on the way with an identical battery capacity.
The upcoming Motorola smartphone, spotted on TENAA as the Motorola XT2533-4, has sparked speculation that it may be announced as the Moto G36. According to the TENAA listing, the phone will have a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. No refresh rate was stated, but knowing Motorola, it is expected to have at least a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Moto G36 will also have dual rear cameras that include a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, while a 32MP camera is placed at the front. With respect to performance, the phone is said to have an unspecified processor with a prime core clocked at 2.4GHz. Nonetheless, it is expected to be an upgrade over the Unisoc T760 a.k.a Unisoc T8100 that powers the Moto G35 (available on Amazon.de for €115).
RAM and storage options are stated to begin at 4GB+64GB and max out at 16GB+512GB. However, considering the Moto G35 (read our review) maxes out at 8GB RAM + 256GB of storage, there's a chance a 16GB RAM + 512 GB configuration might be a stretch.
With respect to its battery capacity, TENAA says the Moto G36 has a 6,790mAh battery, which should be its rated capacity. Its typical battery capacity is expected to be 7,000mAh, and it will have support for 33W wired charging. The Moto G36 is reported to weigh 210 grams, making it lighter than the Moto G06 Power, which weighs 220 grams.
The included images show that the Moto G36 will have a larger camera island compared to its predecessor. The phone is also shown in purple, sporting what looks like a faux leather finish. The Moto G36 might make its debut in China first before heading to other parts of the world.
