Together with the Moto G56 5G, Motorola has just also unveiled the Moto G86 and the Moto G86 Power. The two successors to the Moto G85 5G have a fundamentally revised design with a flat display and colorful back with a leather texture. The Moto G86 5G is 7.87 millimeters thin and 185 grams light, but has to make do with a 5,200 mAh battery.
The Moto G86 Power is slightly thicker and heavier at 8.65 millimeters and 198 grams, but also has a 6,720 mAh battery. Both smartphones can be charged via USB-C with up to 30 watts; apart from the dimensions and battery capacity, the mid-range smartphones are identical. Both models have waterproof housing and Gorilla Glass 7i for protection against scratches. Moreover, the Moto G86 series is equipped with a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a peak HDR brightness of 4,500 nits.
The fingerprint sensor is hidden in the display, while the 32 MP selfie camera sits in a punch-hole. At the heart of the series is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300, powered by four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores with clock speeds of up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The corner camera module on the back houses the 50 MP f/1.88 main camera and the 8 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera with macro mode.
