Rumor | The Honor V7 Pro tablet will launch with a purpose-made Dimensity 1300T SoC
Honor has announced that its V7 Pro is coming soon, indicating that it is to be a tablet. The OEM's new trailer that suggests this upcoming product is to be a slate of a high-end nature, judging by the green (possibly vegan) leather rear panel teased in this new video.
The clip also hints that the V7 Pro will combine this feature with an oval camera hump and flat, glossy, possibly metallic, edges. Then again, this new official leak gives no hints as to its internals. However, Digital Chat Station claims to have a big old spoiler to drop in this respect.
This prolific tipster has posted what looks very like a (heretofore) confidential press release for a Dimensity 1300T. It, according to its leaked announcement, is a 6nm chipset specifically adapted by MediaTek for "powerful, thin and portable tablet computers".
Therefore, this Dimensity 1300T might be an option for other such devices for the rest of 2021. Or it would, had Honor not apparently secured exclusive rights to release products with the chipset for 6 months following the SoC's launch. This event, according to Digital Chat Station's alleged PR material, is set for July 26, 2021.
