Developer Cortopia Studios, best known for the inventive VR hit Gorn 2, has teamed up with publisher Beyond Frames Entertainment to deliver the first-ever Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles VR experience. Titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City, this action-adventure is slated to launch on Meta Quest and PC VR via Steam VR in 2026, with wishlisting now open on both storefronts.
So far, the game has a teaser trailer, but it does not reveal any gameplay. However, the store screenshots hint at fully immersive first-person combat. Players will “don the mask of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, or Michelangelo” to take back New York City from the Foot Clan following Shredder’s downfall.
Further, according to the official description, players will be able to master each Turtle’s signature weapons using precision strikes and blocks in a first-person action adventure. The description also notes that players will scale urban landscapes through “fluid parkour” and confront fan-favorite villains.
Aside from Gorn 2, Cortopia has previously developed Escaping Wonderland, Wands and Down the Rabbit Hole, which are narrative-driven VR experiences. Meanwhile, the storyline for the game has been developed by Tim Waltz, who is acclaimed TMNT scribe for IDW Comics and Tactical Takedown.
At the moment, no exact release date has been confirmed, but 2026 is firmly on the horizon.Interested players can add Empire City to their Steam VR and Meta Quest wishlists today. With its blend of signature weapons, co-op play, and cinematic storytelling, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is all set to become one of the most anticipated VR titles of the year.
