Tecno launched the successor to the 30 Premier (currently available on amazon.in) alongside its 40-series siblings at MWC 2025.
The series is a collection of 4 smartphones, most of which have a variation on a design previously seen in the Samsung Galaxy S21 (for the vanilla Camon 40, 40 Pro and Dimensity 7300-based 40 Pro 5G), with a more Xiaomi 15 Ultra look for the 40 Premier (powered by the newer Dimensity 8350 processor).
The MediaTek Helio G100-powered 40 and 40 Pro have 120Hz AMOLED displays, while the 40 Pro 5G and 40 Premier upgrade to 144Hz refresh rates.
However, for all the differences between the new Camon-series handsets (which include triple 50MP rear cameras exclusive to the 40 Premier flagship), they now all seem to have 1 thing in common: "5-year" software support.
The on-trend extension of OS and security patch updates includes a commitment to 3 major Android upgrades (which also implies that the whole 40 series will be released on Android 15).
Tecno asserts that the plan will ensure that its users will "always have the latest innovations at [their] fingertips without a hitch".
