Earlier this week, The Walkman Blog shared new details about the WH-1000XM6, Sony's long-awaited next pair of high-end over-ear wireless headphones. Based on recent leaks, the company has multiple wireless audio releases planned in 2025, including successors to the WF-C700N (curr. $119.99 on Amazon).
A launch date for the so-called WF-C710N is currently unknown. The new earbuds have since surfaced on as being Made for iPhone and iPad (MFi) certified, from which The Walkman Blog has inferred a possible release date. Based on existing devices like the LinkBuds Fit, The Walkman Blog believes that Sony could replace the WF-C700N in May, which would be a month or so after its second birthday.
The WF-C710N is expected to line up with four launch colours and over 25% better battery life than its predecessor. The mid-range earbuds could support touch gestures too, unlike the WF-C700N. Active noise cancellation should be on board as well, although its strength remains to be seen at this stage. Presumably, other details about the WF-C710N and how Sony has distinguished them from the WF-C700N will appear online within the next few months or so.
