The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus has now made its first solid visit to Geekbench ahead of its grand debut tomorrow. The flagship chipset rides on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and posts numbers better than the SoC it replaces, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Qualcomm will launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus tomorrow. Ahead of that event, the imminent flagship chipset has now made its first concrete trip to Geekbench, riding on Samsung's upcoming foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip4.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus scores 1277 in the single-core test, and 3642 in the multi-core test. Comparatively, going by our database, the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 scores 1228 and 3551 on average, on the single-core and multi-core tests. Samsung phones rarely ever have the highest Geekbench scores as well, so the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus can be expected to post more impressive numbers when running on phones from Realme or Xiaomi.

The Geekbench listing also reveals some details of the chipset. The Cortex-X2 core is clocked at 3.19 GHz, the Cortex-A710 cores at 2.75 GHz, and the Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8 GHz. On the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the Cortex X2 core is clocked at 3.0 GHz, while the Cortex-A710 cores run at 2.5 GHz.
