Deal | Schwinn’s Mendocino hybrid e-bike with 45-mile range drops to lowest-ever price on Amazon

The Schwinn Mendocino Hybrid Cruiser e-bike has dropped to its lowest-ever price on Amazon. The Schwinn Amazon storefront is now offering 10% off on the Mendocino Hybrid Cruiser e-bike, bringing the price down from $845.99 to just $759. 

According to the Camelcamelcamel price history tracker, this is the lowest-ever price for this Schwinn hybrid e-bike, which debuted in August 2022 with a $1,599 price tag. It’s worth noting that the deal only applies to Mint Green and Charcoal Gray color options, and there are no straight-up savings available from Schwinn.

The Schwinn Mendocino Hybrid Cruiser e-bike features a 250 W brushless motor that can deliver speeds up to 20 mph (~32 kph). It has a 6-speed drivetrain that can be adjusted via a handlebar-mounted grip shifter. A 313 Wh lithium-ion battery allows you to ride with assistance for up to 45 miles (~72 km) between charges, with a full charge taking five hours via a standard wall outlet.

The 6-speed bike features a Hi-ten steel suspension fork, 26-inch wheels, and a 32 mm (1.21 inch) width for smooth riding on bumpy roads and rough terrain. It also has mechanical disk brakes, 160 mm at the rear and 180 mm at the front. The vintage-style Schwinn Mendocino Hybrid Cruiser e-bike has an aluminum frame construction that is capable of handling payloads of up to 300 lbs (~136 kg), and a rear rack can support up to 55 lbs (~25 kg).

Sadly, there’s no LCD screen or companion app support here to track the overall performance of the e-bike. Dimensionally, the vintage-style e-bike measures 1510 x 800.1 x 240 mm (59.45 x 31.5 x 9.45 inches) and weighs 49.9 lbs (~22.6 kg).

All in all, if you’re a daily commuter who takes shorter rides in urban areas, then Schwinn’s Mendocino Hybrid Cruiser affordable e-bike seems like a pretty practical investment. It’s unclear how long this Amazon deal will last.
