Redmi Note 12T Pro: Xiaomi releases new mid-range model with 144 Hz display
Xiaomi has now launched the Redmi Note 12T Pro, its second MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra-powered smartphone released this month after the CIVI 3. The subject of a short teaser campaign, the Redmi Note 12T Pro is also the second Redmi Note 12 series model that Xiaomi has released this month, with the Redmi Note 12R Pro debuting nearly four weeks ago. While the two Redmi Note 12 models look similar, they differ in most key areas; for example, the Redmi Note 12R Pro relies on the lesser Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset.
According to Xiaomi, it has equipped the Redmi Note 12T Pro with a 6.6-inch LCD screen that operates at 2,460 x 1,080 pixels with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the large display can vary its refresh rate in 7 steps from 30 Hz, with 48 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 90 Hz, and 120 Hz also available. Moreover, the panel peaks at 650 nits, is HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified and covers 100% of the P3 colour space.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has included LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage, plus a 5,080 mAh battery that supports 67 W fast charging via USB Power Delivery 2.0. As expected, the Redmi Note 12T Pro features a 64 MP primary camera too, plus 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro and 16 MP front-facing cameras. The Redmi Note 12T Pro starts at CNY 1,599 (~US$) in China and ships with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will offer the device globally, although @yabhishekhd speculates it could be re-named the Redmi K60i. For reference, full Redmi Note 12T Pro pricing is as follows:
- 8 GB RAM/128 GB storage - CNY 1,599 (~US$226)
