Realme has launched the TechLife Watch S100 alongside its new 9 5G and 5G SE smartphones today (March 10, 2022). It appears to be a new version of an existing smartwatch from this OEM, with a potentially crucial upgrade in the form of a user body-temperature tracker. Its estimated battery life is also improved over its apparent predecessor.

The Dizo Watch 2 launched in India in 2021 with an unusually large 1.69-inch LCD display and a metal case touted as "premium" despite its budget price. Now, the new Watch S100 seems to have launched with the exact same specs, although its chassis seemed to have been packed with updated tech otherwise.

The inclusion of a Realme-first "skin temperature measure and monitor" feature is not the only change that seems to have been made here: the S100 has debuted under the emerging TechLife "ecosystem" umbrella directly, rather than under the Dizo sub-brand as before.

Nevertheless, the wearable also reprises the blood-oxygen/heart-rate tracking abilities, music and camera controls for a paired smartphone from the Dizo Watch 2, although the newer version is rated for 12 days of battery life rather than 10. Realme has also equipped it with ~24 sports modes and ~110 watch faces.

The TechLife Watch S100 comes in either black or a more novel off-white colorway, and has been priced at just INR 1,999 ($26). It will be released along with the new 9 5G and 5G SE on March 14, 2022 via realme.com/in.
