The Snapdragon Summit is officially on, and will take place from its traditional Hawai'i setting in 2022. However, it will also be livestreamed, starting with its Day 1 keynote. The event is widely projected to introduce the new top-end 8 Gen 2 mobile processor, although Qualcomm asserts that it will also debut its latest developments in the areas of extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) as well as new dedicated solutions for audio and connectivity tech.

Qualcomm's annual major mobile device product event is predicted to make the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 official. Now that this conference's schedule has finally been revealed, it seems that it will indeed be beaten by its probable main competition, the Dimensity 9200, to a launch in November 2022.

Whereas MediaTek has confirmed that this upcoming successor to the top-end 9000+ will be unveiled in early November 2022, the 8 Gen 2 is likely to follow it onto the world stage several days later. Should it indeed debut at the Snapdragon Summit of 2022, its rumored cutting-edge upgrades will finally be set in stone on November 15 at the earliest.

The Summit is now slated to kick off on this day at 15:00 PST (23:00 CET) and run until November 16, 2022. Qualcomm has hinted that next generations for platforms such as its Snapdragon Sound, XR2+ Gen 1 and FastConnect may debut alongside the Gen 2 over those 2 days.
