Xiaomi Mi 11 could join the Snapdragon 875 as the stars of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020
A lot is already expected from the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 that is taking place on December 1 and 2. There should be a grand unveiling of the much-anticipated Snapdragon 875 SoC along with the midrange but still performant Snapdragon 775G for a start, and now it seems possible there might even be a glimpse of a Xiaomi Mi 11 or Mi 11 Pro.
It has recently been reported that Xiaomi’s chief executive officer, Lei Jun, will be attending the Snapdragon Summit and will no doubt assist in the speaking duties. It would be a perfect opportunity for a surprise Xiaomi Mi 11 announcement, especially as there have been some rumors that the flagship sequel to the Mi 10 might actually be launched in December of this year, rather than the often-believed first quarter of 2021.
At the 2019 Snapdragon Summit, the cofounder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, announced details of the Mi 10 flagship smartphone that would utilize Qualcomm’s brand-new SD 865 chipset. It would make perfect sense for Lei Jun to follow suit and announce the SD 875-powered Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro at this year’s event, and hopefully some official specifications and maybe even a look at the smartphones themselves could also be in store.
