After releasing the OnePlus 10 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, OnePlus looks set to bring the vanilla model of the flagship phone—the OnePlus 10—to the market. Supposedly, a Q2 launch is on the cards, and the phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset.

Word of the OnePlus 10 surfaced for the first time last week. Atypically, OnePlus chose to launch the OnePlus 10 Pro alone but it now appears the company will bring the OnePlus 10 to the market shortly, and likely the OnePlus 10 Ultra later in the year.

Early rumors of the OnePlus 10 indicate that OnePlus will equip the phone with a Dimensity 9000. That isn't surprising, as OnePlus has shown a willingness to equip its phones with MediaTek SoCs over the past few years. The OnePlus 10 would fit right in.

As revealed in a media event with MediaTek yesterday, OnePlus looks set to bring a MediaTek Dimensity 9000-powered flagship phone to the market in Q2 2022. While the device is unnamed, it looks likely to be the OnePlus 10. OnePlus has a launch event scheduled for April 28 but this phone is unlikely to debut at that date; it's more likely to make its appearance in May or June. It is, of course, important to point out that all of this only appears relevant to the Indian market.
