CES 2024 | Poly Voyager Free 20: New adaptive ANC earbuds for work and travel enthusiasts
Poly (formerly Plantronics) is firmly under the HP umbrella by now, and as such is part of the larger OEM's non-Omen, non-HyperX CES 2024 exhibition with its latest audio accessories. Then again, the brand asserts that the Free 20 buds are for anyone who appreciates "powerful sound and style" on the move, not just those who may only have encountered Voyager-series peripherals at work before.
The buds have adaptive ANC (albeit a hybrid variant) to help focus on the sound from their Poly Audio 10mm drivers "that bring music and words to life". On that note, the brand has also equipped each Free 20 earbud with triple noise-cancelling mics for "total clarity" of the user's voice while using them for calls.
The Voyager Free 20s are also compatible with the Poly Lens app, which can help the user manage, update and optimize the buds' experience, as it even helps select the best-fitting of the 4 removable ear-tip sets in the box.
In addition, the buds might be attractive to those who have enjoyed the NFC-enabled charging of some other Poly headphones, as the Free 20s' case supports Qi wireless charging. It is also rated to bring the accessories' total battery life up to an estimated 20 hours.
The Poly Voyager Free 20 earbuds' release is planned for May 2024, at a recommended price of $149.
