Leaker Hakasushi has shared fresh insights into the whereabouts of DJI's next vlogging camera. Based on recent leaks, it was unclear how long it may take the company to replace the Osmo Pocket 3 (curr. $565 on Amazon), which surpassed its second birthday at the end of October.
According to Hakasushi, Osmo Pocket fans may not have long to wait until DJI introduces a fourth-generation model. To recap, early details about the so-called Osmo Pocket 4 surfaced in May when Fixed Focus Digital suggested that the device could be the first in the series to feature Hasselblad camera tunings.
While we await full information about the Osmo Pocket 4, various pieces of the puzzle have been emerging over the last few months. For instance, it seems that DJI's next vlogging camera will be slightly taller than its predecessor to accommodate two new hardware buttons. Potentially, the Osmo Pocket 4 could contain OmniVision's recent OV50R40, a 50 MP CMOS sensor that features a 1/1.3-inch optical format while boasting up to 110 dB of single exposure HDR.
Writing on X, Hakasushi indicates DJI will be refreshing its Osmo Pocket series next month. Currently, they have not explicitly mentioned the Osmo Pocket 4. However, the suggestion that a 'fan favourite' will 'meet its upgrade' in December 2025 after a 26-month wait is an exact match for when DJI launched the Osmo Pocket 3. Incidentally, the Neo 2 and Osmo Action 6 should be available globally before the start of December, ruling those out as potential candidates.
