The Find X9 Pro is thought to be a new flagship-series smartphone that could look more like the iPhone 16 Pro Max than the 17 Pro Max will, thanks to the adoption of a new corner-mounted camera hump.
It might not protrude from the back of the smartphone too much, even though it is thought to pack a 200MP periscope zoom lens whereas its predecessor did not.
It might still have Oppo's signature AirVOOC 50W wireless charging - although there is a chance that its performance might be more easily mistaken for MagSafe this time.
It could also be around the same size as its 2024 forebear with a screen that remains at 6.78 inches in diagonal length. Then again, it is also thought to have the Find X-series' first Real RGB OLED display of that size, with bezels of as little as 1.2mm in depth thanks to cutting-edge LIPO technology.
The X9 Pro might also integrate 2.5D glass for even more of an edge-to-edge effect to its display compared to that of the Find X8 Pro.
It might also upgrade to an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor as opposed to optical in the X8 Pro, and have a much larger battery, according to a new leak.
It reiterates the 7,000mAh upgrade from a previous tip, yet proceeds to hint that Oppo might still be able to bump that spec up even further to 7,500mAh - in a new Special Edition, perhaps.
The OEM allegedly has until about October 2025 to finalize that decision, by which time the X9 Pro should be ready to debut with its updated Dimensity 9500 platform and highly water-resistant new build.
