The Find X9 Pro is projected to launch with 3 rear cameras where its well-received predecessor (now starting at €647 in Europe via TradingShenzhen) had 4. The former is also now backed to make up for its apparent downgrade by being introduced alongside 1 of Sony's latest 50MP image sensors later in 2025.
The "IMX09A" is thought to launch as an improvement on a LYTIA-series sensor called the LYT818. It is thought to have a footprint of 1/1.28 inches, a spec that is 1/1.4 inches in the X8 Pro.
Its pixels might also be larger at 1.22 microns (or μm), as opposed to 1.12μm in its alleged predecessor.
The putative next-gen main camera might also support the latest ultra-high and dual conversion gain (UHGC and DCG respectively) technology, which are backed to contribute to concomitantly "ultra-high" dynamic range (or UHDR) in the upcoming flagship smartphone.
That UHDR might be touted to deliver more defined shadows and highlights by Oppo at the X9 Pro's launch, which is thought to occur in the last quarter of 2025 in conjunction with that of the Dimensity 9500 processor.
