Oppo equipped its Find X8 Pro with 4 rear cameras, all of the premium standard 50MP resolution, even though it is not the flagship of its line of Android smartphones. The X9 Pro might not be so lucky, however.
It is thought to get just 3 rear cameras, only 1 of which will be a periscope zoom module where the X8 Pro has 2.
Then again, that single telephoto lens might be more powerful than both of the X8 Pro's shooters combined, as it is now believed to be of the 200MP variety.
It might be based on the ISOCELL HP5 from Samsung, a 1/1.56-inch 28nm imaging sensor with pixels of 0.5 microns (μm) in size - specs which would beat those of even the class-leading Find X8 Ultra.
The apparently updated contents of the Find X9 Pro's camera hump might also explain rumors that it will take a different shape on its unveiling in late 2025.
