The OnePlus 8T will have a flat screen and near-symmetrical bezels, distinguishing it from other OnePlus smartphones. The company's next smartphone will arrive on October 14 and looks to have thinner bezels than even the OnePlus 8 Pro.
Update: New, and possibly cheaper, Lunar Silver colour option has been leaked too.

OnePlus may have revealed part of the design of the OnePlus 8T, but the device does not officially arrive until October 14. Nonetheless, JD.com has published a bunch of official marketing renders of the device from multiple angles. The retailer lists the OnePlus 8T for CNY 9,999, which would be equivalent to US$1,473, but this is just a placeholder. The OnePlus 8 retailed for US$599, so we would expect the OnePlus 8T to launch for around this price.

As for the marketing images - they confirm that the OnePlus 8T will have a flat screen, unlike its predecessor. A single front-facing camera punctuates the display, which OnePlus has left in the top left-hand corner of the large panel. It seems that the OnePlus 8T has more symmetrical and slightly thinner bezels, too.

While the OnePlus 8T has a flat screen, it will have a curved glass back panel that cuts into the frame of the device slightly. OnePlus has cut a large hole in the back glass for the rear-facing camera housing though, which now sits in the top left-hand corner of the back glass. According to the lettering on the camera housing, the OnePlus 8T will have an optically stabilised 48 MP primary camera, along with sensors that possess a focal length of 14 to 26 mm.

Finally, the OnePlus 8T will have one bottom-firing speaker, which is OnePlus has positioned next to the device's USB Type-C port. We suspect that the earpiece will double as a secondary speaker, but there will be no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Update

Ishan Agarwal has also shared a press image of the OnePlus 8T in Lunar Silver. Considering that OnePlus has publicised the innovation that went into designing its Aquamarine Green colour, we suspect that Lunar Silver will be the cheaper of the two versions. If this is the case, then we would expect to offer the Aquamarine Green version with more RAM and storage.
