Anker is rumored to be working on a new 14-in-1 USB-C docking station. Leaked images shared by reliable source AnkerInsider show an accessory with a similar design to the Anker Prime Charger (250W, 6 Ports, GaNPrime) (curr. $169.99 at Amazon). It looks to have a similar LCD display at the front showing the charging status and speed, and a dial on one side appears to allow the user to switch between various charging modes.
The Anker 14-in-1 USB-C docking station with model number A83B3 offers four USB-C ports. These include a 140W USB 3.2 Gen 2 upstream port and two 100W USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C ports, each with 10 Gb/s bandwidth, and a 100W USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with 5 Gb/s bandwidth. There are three USB-A ports: two 4.5W USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB-A ports with 5 Gb/s bandwidth and one USB 2.0 port with 480 Mb/s and up to 2.5W power. The total maximum power output across all ports is 172W.
Users will be able to connect up to three displays thanks to two HDMI 2.0 ports supporting a 4K@60Hz resolution and a more powerful DisplayPort 1.4 port for 8K@60 Hz. It is worth noting that a DisplayLink driver is required here. Other ports include 2.5 Gb/s RJ45 Ethernet, 104 MB/s UHS-I SD and microSD card slots and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
It is expected that the new Anker Prime 14-in-1 USB-C docking station will retail for between $300 and $400 in the US. However, Anker has yet to officially acknowledge this product, and the release date remains uncertain.
