Motorola has now officially released the Moto G56, having inadvertently confirmed the device's existence earlier this week. As expected, the Moto G56 is the first outing for the MediaTek Dimensity 7060, which contains an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.6 GHz and an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. In other words, it appears that the Moto G56 will offer practically the same performance as the Moto G55 and the Moto G54 (curr. $209.99 on Amazon) before it.
Motorola has made changes in other areas, though. For one, this year's model has grown to accommodate a 6.72-inch IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, albeit while retaining a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 1080p resolution. Motorola has added a third rear-facing camera too, which joins returning 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 50 MP primary cameras. Although it is unclear what purpose this new camera serves, Motorola has at least confirmed that it has swapped out last year's 16 MP front-facing camera for a newer 32 MP sensor.
Meanwhile, battery capacity has grown from 5,000 mAh to 5,200 mAh, supported by the same 30 W wired charging capabilities. On top of that, the Moto G56 is IP69 certified, runs Android 15 out of the box, supports microSD card expansion and has a 3.5 mm jack. Currently, the Moto G56 comes exclusively with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for £199.99 in the UK and €250 (~$284) in the Eurozone. Please see Motorola's website for more details.
