Mobvoi's latest second-generation fitness wearables come similar specs, as both use the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 SoC, and only the design sets them apart. Powered by Google's Wear OS, the TicWatch S2 and E2 can be acquired by US-based customers directly from Mobvoi or via Amazon for US$179.99 and US$159.99.

Not long ago, we saw the Mobvoi TicWatch S2 and TicWatch E2 at CES, but these new wearables still had no launch date or pricing back then. Earlier today, an email from Mobvoi came out of the blue and surprised me, but in a good way: both smartwatches are now available for purchase and they also come for pretty good prices as well.

The specs and features of the TicWatch S2 and E2 have been official for a while, but here's a quick reminder: Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixels, 415 mAh battery, Wear OS, and 22 mm silicone wrist straps. Since both have the same specs and even the straps can be interchanged, the only thing that sets them apart is the design, the TicWatch S2 being larger.

In addition to all the above, there is also GPS and heart-rate monitoring, as well as swim-tracking capabilities (we are talking about 5 ATM waterproof devices, while the first generation was only rated IP67).

US customers can get the TicWatch S2 and E2 from Amazon for US$179.99 and US$159.99, but also from Mobvoi's online store. The first customers get a free extra charging dock, so you might want to hurry up.
