MediaTek Helio G99-powered Doogee R10 rugged tablet coming in May
Although the company took the first step in the tablet market in late 2022 with a rather traditional device, Doogee is now ready to unleash the first rugged slate upon the world. The Doogee R10 should arrive in May if everything goes as planned and will probably be certified for protection from dust and water ingress, as well as physical abuse. However, this information is not available yet, and the same applies to the price details.
The list of specs and features confirmed by Doogee includes TUV SUD blue light certification and Widevine L1 compliance, Hi-Res Audio standard-level sound, MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 10.36-inch 2K display, 10,800 mAh battery, 8 GB DDR4X memory, 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage and microSD support up to 2 TB, 20 MP Sony/16 MP Samsung main/front camera, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, as well as Android 13-based software. In terms of connectivity, a SIM slot with 4G LTE support will be present alongside WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Based on the pictures that we got from Doogee, the R10 looks like an excellent choice for kids who usually break their gadgets, but also for professionals who need a tablet to carry around and operate in harsh environments. We also hear that it will come bundled with a TPU leather case, but that could only be useful to make it look better in a business environment. More details should surface in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
